So Much to offer Bunbury – Western Australia

Bunbury is the second largest city in Western Australia. From Albany, the bus took us across lush farmland, dense coastal forests around Denmark and then along the tourist track in the forest of giant trees Pemberton Walpole, Valley of the Giants to Manjimup. From here there are a lot of vineyards and gardens of Bridgetown Bunbury. I noticed a change in some areas such as gardens and cities intensive land use and town Bunbury has grown and become more modern over the eleven years since the last visit.

There is so much to eat for $ 12 I do not need lunch.
Some a hotel on the main street is now a cafe bar while some just do accommodation. The youth hostel is in an old house and was not very good.

So we are happy to have a bit of luxury at the Hotel Rose is actually a better value. The staff let me go to see the old bedroom and lounge that is rarely used today. The hotel was established in 1865 and is one of the most amazing hotels in the region. After a quick swim in the bay, it’s time for Happy Hour taste local wine and beer before dinner.

Bunbury a few hours drive south of Perth, is a great place to stay for a day or two on the way to a destination further south as Margaret River, Dunsborough, Yallingup and magnificent forest on the way to Walpole and Denmark.
